Nopal Cactus Powder
From mountain-grown pads
to your daily scoop.
Our Nopal powder begins with the green cactus pad. Follow it from our farms in Central Mexico through preparation, drying, milling, quality review, and the finished 8 oz jar.
Made with Opuntia ficus-indica, our loose powder gives you a simple way to scoop and mix Nopal into your routine. Each half-scoop serving provides 1.25 g of Nopal, with no other ingredients added.(1)

01
From our farms to your jar.
The journey starts with people who know the cactus and continues through each stage of preparation. These scenes follow the pad into powder, then into a jar you can open, measure, and use.

Stage 01
Begin on our mountain farms
Our Nopal grows on our own farms in Central Mexico, at about 8,200 feet above sea level in volcanic soil. We stay involved from growing through harvest and preparation.(2)

Stage 02
Harvest the green pads
We select and gather the green pads, then move them into preparation. The pad is the part of the cactus we use for our powder.

Stage 03
Clean and prepare
The harvested pads are cleaned and inspected. Spines are removed and the material is prepared for the next stage. Careful handling begins before the material becomes a powder.

Stage 04
Dry and mill into powder
We prepare the Nopal material as a dried powder that is easy to scoop and mix. Drying methods can vary across our production. Our loose powder does not carry a freeze-dried guarantee; the next section explains why.

Stage 05
Review quality
We review applicable batch records and test results for identity, purity, strength, composition, and contaminants. The review checks the material against our quality specifications.(3)
02
Why our powder is not labeled freeze-dried.
We manufacture Nopal powders for a range of companies and production requirements. Different orders call for different drying methods, and our loose powder may combine material prepared by more than one method.
Air drying, sun drying, spray drying, and freeze-drying are among the methods used across that work. We do not guarantee a single drying method for our 8 oz loose powder, so we do not label or sell it as freeze-dried.
Two products. Two clear descriptions.
Our loose powder uses Opuntia ficus-indica. If you want a freeze-dried preparation, choose our Nopal capsules, made with freeze-dried Opuntia streptacantha green pad powder. Explore our freeze-dried Nopal capsules →
